The Benjamin house is an ambitious project where the design has offered the best functionality solutions. The mounting of this house in a suburb of Toulouse, France, took between 3 and 4 weeks and was carried out with a team of 6.
For this project, the architect chose a modern architectural style, with minimalist accents, following the clients’ desire to have a space of more than 180 useful square meters. Because in the area where the house is located there is a height regime of 7 m and the land prevented a footprint larger than 120 square meters, the solution for space came from the design. By following a classical design and an inclined roof we wouldn’t have been able to offer the client those generous spaces he wanted. Thus, we dropped the inclined roof and opted for a terrace type roof. Only this way were we able to use the entire available space.
The defining elements of the project are the fusion of two finishing types for the façade, by plating it with burnt 2 layers brushed wainscot. By burning it, beside the unique aspect we achieved better protection against the weather.
